We are loving the Recorder Jams book. It is helping us become more adept at our fingering while playing some really cool jams! Thank you for putting together exciting and challenging songs as we are beginning to learn music theory.
So our son never played the guitar before. He found your youtube tutorials "Guitar for Beginners #1-7" and enjoyed the little riffs. We thought we'd continue with your book so we ordered this one. But it goes waaaay back to the beginning and within about 3 days he was on page 21 of 38.
Is there a book that comes directly after this one?
We really like the digital version, in that we can click on the song links and go straight to the youtube video for him to play along with.
We received Kasey’s Piano Method two weeks ago and my seven year old loves this book! The progressions are linear and logical and the illustrations are great. The small details like making the notes slightly larger and including which hand to use play with makes learning so much easier compared to other books. It is a pretty short book and I expect that after a couple of months, kids will be ready to progress to something else. I wish Kasey’s Piano Method would release a book 2.
This book has been an engaging teaching tool for my 3-student guitar class. My students feel immediately successful and ready for more challenges. Thank you so much! I'll be getting the recorder and Ukulele books as well.
